THE OFFICE OF THE FAMILY LAW FACILITATOR (FLF) OF THE SUPERIOR COURT OF CALIFORNIA, COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO (the court) REQUIRES THAT YOU CAREFULLY READ, UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN THIS USER AGREEMENT AND DISCLAIMER (Agreement) BEFORE USE OF THIS WEBSITE. By using this website, you acknowledge that you agree to the Terms And Conditions of this Agreement as described below. If you have not carefully read, understand and agree to the Terms And Conditions below, you may not access, view, obtain goods or services, or otherwise use this website.

Use of this Message Board is intended for those parties who are self-represented. The Family Law Facilitator’s Office does not assist parents or parties who are represented by an attorney. The Family Law Facilitator is NOT your lawyer, but is a neutral person who does not represent any parent or party. The Family Law Facilitator can help you in preparing your own forms and can give you general information. The Family Law Facilitator cannot go with you to court. The Family Law Facilitator is not responsible for the outcome of your case. There is no attorney-client relationship between you and the Family Law Facilitator. Communications between you and the Family Law Facilitator are not confidential. The Family Law Facilitator may provide information and services to the other party in your case. You should consult with your own attorney if you want personalized advice or strategy, to have a confidential conversation, or to be represented by an attorney in court. Many family law matters involve complex and valuable legal rights. You should consult with an attorney before attempting to use assisted self-help. Some rights cannot be adequately protected without the assistance of an attorney. To find out how to hire an attorney and/or obtain a free consultation, visit the California Court website at www.courts.ca.gov or the State Bar of California website at http://www.calbar.ca.gov/Public/LawyerReferralServicesLRS

LEGAL INFORMATION - NOT LEGAL ADVICE
The court and the FLF cannot give you legal advice or refer you to a specific lawyer. If you came to the court's website seeking advice on California law, instead you should consult with a lawyer licensed by the State Bar of California. The State Bar certifies lawyer referral services that can put you in touch with a lawyer who can handle your problem. Even if your particular problem can be resolved without a lawyer, a certified referral service will tell you how to get the help you need. A lawyer referral service may offer low-cost or no cost options to qualifying persons. In order to find a certified lawyer referral service, click this State Bar link. Additional resources may also be described in specific areas of our website and on the website of the Judicial Council of California.
If you have a criminal complaint, please contact a law enforcement agency such as the local police or sheriff, or the county district attorney's office. Remember, this website cannot take the place of advice from a lawyer.
